Jane Hull, Pastor
Jane has felt called to ministry for as long as she can remember. She is married to David Hull, who is also a pastor.
Throughout her ministry life, from Shelbyville, Kentucky, to Charlotte, North Carolina, to Laurens, South Carolina, Knoxville, TN, and Huntsville, Alabama, she partnered with her pastor/husband, assessing what was needed in each new congregation and choosing that particular need for her ministry. There were triumphs and challenges along the way – churches where she led large youth groups, children’s groups, senior adult groups, and music groups. In each church she navigated unique staff arrangements to find her place.
In her late 50s, she experienced a new calling to the pastorate and became a student again at McAfee School of Theology, where she earned her Master of Divinity degree and in 2012 began her journey with Disciples of Christ, serving First Christian Church, Birmingham, AL, as Interim Pastor, Union Christian Church, Watkinsville, GA, as Senior Minister, and now First Christian Church, Lincolnton, NC, as Pastor.
Dianne McAlister, Pianist
Dianne has served First Christian Church, Lincolnton for the last 14 years as Pianist. She has one daughter, three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
